Every plan starts with a free trial so you can set up your workspace and send a real document before you pay. On the Solo, Practice, and Firm business tiers the trial runs 14 days. On the Author plan for writers and literary agents, the trial runs 7 days.

The trial is card-required: you enter payment details up front so that when the trial ends your workspace keeps running without interruption. You get the full product during the trial — NDA-gated sharing, per-recipient links, watermarking, and access logging all included.

Your card is not charged during the trial. The first charge lands when the trial period ends — day 14 on the business tiers, day 7 on the Author plan — and then on the same date each billing cycle after that.

If you cancel before the trial ends, you are not charged at all.

You can cancel any time from your account’s billing settings. Cancelling during the trial stops it before any charge is made. Cancelling on a paid plan stops the next renewal — your workspace stays active through the end of the period you’ve already paid for.

After you start a trial you’ll get a set-password email. Once your password is set, you sign in at the admin login page — /admin/login. That’s the door to your whole workspace: documents, recipients, NDAs, and the access log.

Use the forgot-password link on the sign-in page. Enter your email and we’ll send a reset link. For security the link is time-limited, so use it soon after it arrives; if it expires, just request a fresh one.

Arkin Vault is NDA-gated: a document stays sealed until the recipient completes the agreement you’ve attached to it. You bring the agreement — your NDA, your wording, or your lawyer’s. The recipient signs it in the browser, before the document opens.

The exact NDA text is captured and bound to the signature, so the record shows the precise agreement each person accepted — not a generic “terms accepted” flag. Prefer a lighter touch for a particular send? You can gate on a simple acknowledged-receipt instead.

From a document, add each recipient by email. Arkin Vault issues a per-recipient personal link — one unique link per person, with no account or password for them to create. Send the link, and they land straight on the NDA gate.

Because every link is tied to a specific recipient, everything they do — signing, viewing, downloading — is attributed to them in the access log. Revoke any recipient’s link the moment their access should end.

Yes. Add as many recipients as you need to a document; each gets their own personal link and signs the NDA independently. The access log keeps every recipient’s activity separate, so you always know exactly who did what.

You control watermarking per document. Turn it on to stamp recipient-identifying watermarks across the pages as a deterrent, or turn it off for a clean read — useful when, say, an author sends a manuscript to an agent and doesn’t want text scrawled across the prose.

Access is logged either way. Whether or not the watermark is visible, every view and download is still recorded.

The access log captures the evidence trail for each document: the NDA signature, the pages viewed, and any download — each entry tied to the recipient’s identity, with timestamp, page, and IP address. Signature, files, and access trail stay together as one record you can export as an evidence pack.

Your documents and records are stored with encryption at rest and backed up on a daily schedule with encrypted backups retained on a rolling window. Data is hosted in regional AWS infrastructure (India / US), and traffic is protected with TLS in transit. The full detail lives in the security model.

Yes. Arkin Vault is multi-tenant with tenant-isolated vaults — your documents, recipients, NDAs, and logs belong to your workspace and are not reachable from anyone else’s. There is no shared, cross-customer data path.
